Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and while gift, restaurant, and flower options are on your mind, I’m here to remind you to remember yourself in all the planning. You want your date to be thrilled, not only by the gifts, but also by you. Stun your date with these tips to create the perfect Valentine’s Day for both of you:
What to Wear
What are you going to wear to dinner? Wearing red is overdone sometimes on Valentine’s Day. Instead, I would recommend wearing one of your custom J.Hilburn shirts with a touch of red or one with a contrast stitching detail. If you are looking for some personalized advice on what to wear, reach out to me! I am here to be your stylist and together we’ll find exactly what will make you look great this Valentine’s Day. We can work with your current wardrobe as well as with options from the J.Hilburn collection. I will help you find the perfect shirt, jacket, trousers, tie and whatever else is needed to make you look and feel great for your date.
SHOWN: WHITE / GREY LUXURY SCREEN with contrast stitching. The uniform pattern of this allover pin check provides more dash than a basic solid, more subtlety than a regular check. Weave: Screen, Weight: Medium, Mill: Monti
Consider the Details
There can be a lot of planning that goes into Valentine’s Day. Now is the time to think about the details that might get lost in the shuffle.
Your hair. You still have time to book a haircut (will you need a shave too…perhaps a beard and mustache trim?) before Valentine’s Day, but schedule your appointment soon as they will be filling up the closer we get to the big day.
Transportation. Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday this year, which means more people will be going out for dinner than usual. Create a plan for parking or finding a ride that will make the whole evening smooth and enjoyable for you and your date.
The card. You have the gift covered, but what about the card? Don’t leave that to the last minute, instead, put real thought and feeling into what you write and you will win over your date’s heart in an instant.
Valentine’s Day is your opportunity to show your love and appreciation for your date, after all, they are what all this time and effort is really about. Once you have everything planned and you both look stunning, remember to look them in the eyes and tell them what they mean to you. Likely, not everything will go perfectly on Valentine’s Day, there are just too many people all trying to do the same thing at the same time, but don’t allow any hiccups in your plan to distract you from each other. No matter what, enjoy the time you’re spending with the one person in the world you want to be with this Valentine’s Day.
